Just about time that AMD users and fans get their hands on the new come up AMD Phenom II X6 which also known as the 'Thuban' processors. The best thing of all are the price is just perfect which is about USD300 and use socket AM3 motherboard.

By using AM3 motherboard it means to upgrade to AMD Phenom II X6, all it costs is just the processor itself. Some AM3 motherboard might need to get their firmware updated in order for the bios to recognize the new AMD Phenom II X6 due to the new voltage which is 125W.

There are two model available which are the AMD Phenom II X6 1055T at 2.8GHz and AMD Phenom II X6 1090T at 3.2GHz. Both are 6 core processor built on a 45nm chip. Both have L2 Cache of 3MB and L3 Cache of 6MB.
